Challenge Copenhagen
The inaugural long distance race of the Challenge series in Copenhagen drew out numerous SLS3 athletes. Swedish pro Camilla Lindholm took the podium with a third place finish after a rather disappointing swim. Earlier this season Camilla won Powerman Holland European Championships by almost 4 minutes drawing from her strength, the bike and run.
Czech pro Petr Vabrousek also came out to play and once again had a solid race, finishing in 4th place. Chris McDonald, 2nd at the inaugural IM St. George in Utah this year, started out promising but suffered from several flat tires and did not finish. Ain-Alar Juhanson from Estonia placed 15th.

Embrunman France
SLS3 athlete Tereza Macel took on this brutal, over the top hilly Ironman race in France as a "spur of the moment" decision. (Now, anybody who has been there would now moan in pain because the course IS brutal!) Tereza made it look like a walk in the park though, taking home the win in what is considered one of the toughest Ironman races in Europe. Next up for Tereza is IM Canada where she will be defending her title, having won the race last year.

July 2010

Ben Hoffman celebrated his first Ironman win (8:29:41) in Lake Placid on July 25th, while Petr Vabrousek finished 2nd (8:46:33). Hoffman came off the bike seconds behind defending men's champion Maik Twelsiek and ran his way to the win.

On the run course Hoffman stayed just behind Twelsiek through the first six miles, then started to pull away to a convincing win. Behind him Petr Vabrousek was putting together an impressive race – his 2:53 marathon would be enough to get him passed Twelsiek for an impressive second-place finish. Both athletes where racing in SLS3 compression sleeves.

Jocelyn Wong of Team TBB toughed it out for 9th place in the women's field, having raced every weekend for the past months.
