IM Cozumel, Mexico
The inaugural IM Cozumel proved to be a nice finishing touch to Bella Bayliss' 2009 season. Bella had an all around solid race and placed second just a few weeks after IM Florida.
IM Arizona
Jordan Rapp won! He increased his lead steadily throughout the race and just made it very clear that this one was his for sure. Congratulations, Jordan!
Petr Vabrousek figured a 13th or 14th IM in 2009 really couldn't hurt. What hurt was the oncoming flu symptoms he was battling all week, and fluids and rest helped but made race day not as enjoyable as usual. Still, Petr chose finishing over quitting and fought hard for a 10th place finish.
IM Florida
Bella Bayliss didn't have much time to recover from her rough IM Hawaii race but she still really wanted to race in one of her favorite races, IM Florida.
Fighting hard, Bella secured third place on the podium. She had made up a lot of time on the run but this year, she was not able to take in another win in this race which she has dominated so many times before.
SLS3 athlete Jessica Jacobs proved she is a force to be reckoned with in the women's pro field of any Ironman race. She had a solid race and placed 6th.
